1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how xGluted Technologies LLC, doing business as WalkUp (“WalkUp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information through the WalkUp mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

2. Information we handle

Depending on the features you use, we may handle:

  • Account information: your name, email address, profile image, authentication provider, and account identifier when you sign in with Apple, Google, or another supported method.
  • Player and team information: team names, rosters, player names, profile photos, jersey or lineup details, team roles, team codes, staff invitations, and optional city, state or province, and country.
  • Music and game-day settings: music provider, song and artist metadata, track identifiers, cue points, duration, fade, volume, lineup order, inning settings, and explicit-content indicators.
  • AI announcer information: player names, pronunciation guidance, team phrases, voice and delivery settings, generated announcement audio, and feedback about announcement quality.
  • Community content: profile information, walk-up song posts, likes, comments, and other content you choose to make visible through social or discovery features.
  • Support information: feedback, messages, screenshots or attachments, and contact details you send when requesting help or reporting a problem.
  • Subscription information: subscription product, entitlement, renewal, and transaction status received from Apple. Apple processes your payment details; WalkUp does not receive your full payment-card number.
  • Technical and usage information: app preferences, feature interactions, device and operating-system details, crash reports, performance logs, and security events needed to operate and improve the Service.

Music services and sign-in providers may give WalkUp connection tokens or account identifiers needed to provide the feature you requested. WalkUp does not receive your Apple or Spotify password.

3. How we use information

  • create and secure accounts, profiles, teams, and staff roles;
  • save rosters, song choices, cue points, lineups, and game-day settings;
  • generate, cache, deliver, and improve AI announcer audio;
  • enable team invitations, discovery, social, and sharing features;
  • verify subscriptions and provide paid Team Manager features;
  • answer support requests and process account-deletion requests;
  • detect abuse, protect users, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability; and
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Where required, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How information is shared

We may share information only as needed with:

  • Team and community members: team-related information is visible to the players, managers, and staff who share that team. Content you post to discovery or social features may be visible to other WalkUp users.
  • Service providers: vendors that support authentication, Firebase hosting and storage, cloud infrastructure, analytics and diagnostics, AI audio generation, customer support, and other Service operations.
  • Connected services: Apple, Google, Spotify, GameChanger, or another provider when you choose to sign in, connect an account, select music, make a purchase, or use an integration.
  • Legal and safety recipients: authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.
  • Business-transfer recipients: a buyer, successor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Storage, retention, and security

WalkUp uses Firebase and other cloud services to store and operate Service data. We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention may differ by data type. Backups and security logs may remain for a limited period after deletion.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

You may:

  • review and update available profile and team information in the app;
  • disconnect Apple Music, Spotify, or other integrations through the app or provider;
  • control what you post or share through team and community features;
  • delete your account through Account Settings; and
  • request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion by contacting us.

Rights vary by location. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also have the right to appeal our response or complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

7. Children’s privacy

WalkUp is designed for teams but is not intended for children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information on their own. A parent, guardian, coach, or authorized team manager may add roster information about a minor only when they have the authority and any consent required to do so. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

8. International use

WalkUp and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. Local privacy laws may give you additional rights.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as WalkUp changes. We will post the revised version here, update the date above, and provide any additional notice required by law. Continued use after the effective date means the updated policy applies to future use.
